Five Kilometres From Home is a series of photos taken 5 km from where I live in Melbourne’s inner south when I was out walking over the course of the 1st and 2nd lockdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic. For most of the second lockdown we were restricted to only being allowed to shop or have 2 hours exercise within a 5km radius from our homes. As someone who lives alone I really struggled at times with the isolation, and being able to get out of my flat after work and see my neighbourhood helped me - even with the limits of strict social distancing - keep connected to our local community.
